I guess I don't understand the whole Obama thing and how so many people view him as the world’s savior. I thought that title was reserved for Jesus, that being said I am dumbfounded that O would close Guantanamo prison and then agree to send 30,000 new troops over to Iraq and Afghanistan, its one of those things that make me scratch my head.

Obama took an oath of office to PROTECT the United States from both enemies’ foreign and domestic, so in my opinion he has all ready violated his oath of office by closing Guantanamo.

The people that are there folks are bad people who would not think twice before slicing your neck open in the name of Ali or Jihad or just for pure fun. These terrorist want to destroy the America but that doesn't matter to liberals or progressives or whatever the hell name they think up next. No we are more worried about how they have been tortured. Do you people realize that yes we have tortured them but also have give these thugs better health care then even you or I could receive or for that matter than they have received

If it were up to me I would have used much harsher torture techniques if it meant saving one more American life. For the first time in my life I am ashamed of the WHAT WE ARE BECOMING AS A NATION!

We live in a land where English can not even be considered as the official language of the United States because it might offend someone! Obama wants to allow children under the age of 16 to be able to get abortions across state lines without parental consent! I have to pay my taxes but the person that is going to be in charge of the IRS JUST FORGOT TO and made a grave mistake for years, GIVE ME A BREAK! Eric Holder our new Attorney General was instrumental in releasing and pardoning members of the FLAN Terrorist group during Clinton's last days and our new Secretary of Homeland Security has no problems with allowing Illegal Crimaliens into her state without repercussion or prosecution, and yet people boo'd President Bush when he left office, yet we have not been attacked on our soil since 911.

Meanwhile others including myself have been called raciest and haters because we oppose every thing this administration stands for. Only in America can a man be elected to the highest office in the land on a platform of hope while having no experience! Well I leave you with this Hope in one hand shit in the other and see which fills up first.

Any of you kids want a cappuccino?

One Chicago Public Schools manager must have really been jonesing for a cup of coffee when officials say she spent nearly $70,000 of the district's money to buy 30 cappuccino/espresso machines for a high school program.

But five months after the machines were purchased, 22 remained unopened, one disappeared and three were being used at two schools—though not in the culinary arts program for which they were intended, the district's inspector general said Tuesday.

Officials in a department dealing with work-school programs allegedly separated the purchases to make them appear they came from 21 different schools and were under $10,000.

By doing so, the purchases did not have to be competitively bid or win school board approval, said Jim Sullivan, the district's inspector general.

As a result, he said, the district overpaid for the coffeemakers by more than $12,000.

"They sat unused for a number of months . . . by not letting the schools know they were coming, it turned out at the time to be a waste of money," Sullivan said.

The cappuccino caper was one of a record number of cases tackled between July 2007 and June 2008, Sullivan said.

The inspector general's office had 1,012 complaints alleging misconduct, waste, fraud and financial mismanagement in the district. Of these, 940 cases were closed with many resulting in recommendations for termination and some for criminal prosecution.

Tickle me Panetta

It seems that experience doesn’t quit matter when it comes to key appointments in the Obama administration. I mean if a community organizer can be president why can’t a guy who attended a study group on the Iraq war be the next CIA Director?

It seems Obama wanted to appease the tree hugging left with a kinder gentler CIA.

According to the AP Obama is sending an unequivocal message that controversial administration policies approving harsh interrogations, water boarding and extraordinary renditions the secret transfer of prisoners to other governments with a history of torture — and warrantless wiretapping are over, said several officials.

Give me a break. What are we going to do moving forward tickle information out of captured terrorists? “Come on Ackmod we know you have information tickle, tickle, tickle. If that doesn’t prove to be effective we could move to more effective means, such as the titty twister,bad wedgies or even timeouts. I must say I have a 4 year old and the time out does seem to be very effective in method of punishment when it comes to disobedience.

Panetta has no direct intelligence experience beyond serving in the Army for 2 years in the 1960’s as a lieutenant over 49 years ago. Then again Panetta’s time served in the reserves is almost 6 months more than Obama spent as an Illinois state Senator. I don’t know about you but I feel safe.

Bill Richardson bows out as Commerce nominee

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson is withdrawing his nomination to be commerce secretary, he and President-elect Barack Obama said in statements today. Richardson cited the distraction of a federal investigation into his ties to a California company that won municipal bond business in New Mexico after contributing money to various Richardson causes..

Obama's pick of Warren for invocation Irks liberals!

Obama picks Rick Warren to give an invocation at inauguration which in turn irks some liberals.

I would like to know what doesn’t irk a liberal these days. It seems that liberals get pissed off just to get pissed off so they can bloviate.

The liberal group; People for the American Way seem to be up in arms about Obama’s selection. On their website they state their mission as:

“For over 25 years we've mobilized hundreds of thousands of Americans nationwide to fight for progressive values: equal rights, freedom of speech, religious liberty and equal justice under the law for every American.”

I find their mission statement to be contradictory. First off they use the term “progressive values” I was unaware that Liberals, I mean Progressives had values and secondly they say they stand for freedom of speech, religious liberty and equal justice under the law; but I guess that mean for only the people who agree with their way of thinking.

The group was founded by Norman Lear who is best known for his politically correct TV shows such as All in the family, The Jefferson’s, Sanford and Son, Good Times and late Congress woman Barbara Jordon who supported legislation like the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 better know today as The Great Bailout of 08 and was on the short list as a possible running mate for Jimmy Carter.

In a press release they stated “it is a grave disappointment to learn that pastor Rick Warren will give the invocation at the inauguration of Barack Obama.” What happened to religious liberty?
Are they pissed because someone with values like Rick Warren will be giving the invocation to Barack Husain Obama, (hey if Obama is going to use his full name to be sworn in, then the use of the word “Husain” must have been removed off Obama’s naughty word list.)

The press release also states that “Rick Warren gets plenty of attention through his books and media appearances. He doesn't need or deserve this position of honor. There is no shortage of religious leaders who reflect the values on which President-elect Obama campaigned and who are working to advance the common good.”

Hmmm,I guess Jessie, Reverend Al, Father Flagger, Reverend Wright and the other race pimps may have been more appropriate for the gig but weren’t available.

The Openly Gay Congressman Barney Frank stated “Giving that kind of mark of approval and honor to someone who has frankly spoken in ways I and many others have found personally very offensive, I thought that was a mistake for the president-elect to do,” said Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat, today on CNN’s “Late Edition.” Need I remind the openly gay congressman that Obama doesn’t support gay marriage either, does Barney find that offensive Furthermore I find pretty much anything that comes out of Frank’s mouth (pardon the pun) offensive.

Obama defended the selection of Warren last week, telling reporters that America needs to "come together," even when there's disagreement on social issues. "That dialogue is part of what my campaign is all about," he said.

Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel ducks reporters' questions

President-elect Barack Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, refused to take questions from reporters this morning about whether he was the Obama “advisor” named in the criminal complaint against Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The complaint states Blagojevich wanted a promise of a high-level appointment or some other reward for Blagojevich in exchange for Blagojevich naming Obama’s friend Valerie Jarrett to replace him in the U.S. Senate.

Emanuel was uncharacteristically absent from Obama’s news conference this morning. He was spotted two hours later in the lobby of Chicago’s City Hall. He was there to listen to his two children performing in a concert with their school, Anshe Emet.

A Sun-Times reporter pressed him to comment about whether he was the emissary named in the criminal complaint.

“You’re wasting your time,” Emanuel said. “I’m not going to say a word to you. I’m going to do this with my children. Dont do that. I’m a father. I have two kids. I’m not going to do it.”

Asked, “Can’t you do both?” Emanuel replied, “I’m not as capable as you. I’m going to be a father. I’m allowed to be a father,” and he pushed the reporter’s digital recorder away.

Obama Ties in the Spotlight

The federal corruption allegations against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich cast an embarrassing glare on the world of Chicago politics he shares with President-elect Barack Obama, even though the two Democrats aren't close and there is no suggestion Mr. Obama did anything inappropriate.

The case will keep the public spotlight on some episodes Mr. Obama thought he had put behind him, including his ties to Antoin Rezko, a convicted Chicago real-estate developer who was accused in a Federal Bureau of Investigation affidavit Tuesday of scheming with Mr. Blagojevich. Mr. Rezko raised campaign funds for both men, and was one of Mr. Obama's earliest supporters as he was climbing the political ladder in Illinois.

Rahm Source: Story That He Tipped Off Feds To Blago Is False

A source close to Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel is denying reports that Rahm tipped off the Feds to Blagojevich's alleged efforts to sell Obama's Senate seat.

The rumors to this effect have been flying all afternoon, kicked off by a local Fox reporter in Chicago who claimed that he'd received a "tip" that Blago had reached out to Rahm to "leverage" filling Obama's Senate seat.

"It may have been Rahm Emanuel who tipped the scale and made this move as quickly as it did," the reporter said.

But a source close to Rahm emails us that "it's not true," adding that the story is the "result of some overzealous reporting."

It was a fun one, though.

Questions Arise About the Obama/Blagojevich Relationship

"Obviously like the rest of the people of Illinois I am saddened and sobered by the news that came out of the US attorney's office today," said President-elect Obama this afternoon in Chicago, speaking of the criminal complaint against Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich for corruption. "But as this is a ongoing investigation involving the governor I don't think it would be appropriate for me to comment on the issue at this time."

Asked what contact he'd had with the governor's office about his replacement in the Senate, President-elect Obama today said "I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening."

But on November 23, 2008, his senior adviser David Axelrod appeared on Fox News Chicago and said something quite different.

While insisting that the President-elect had not expressed a favorite to replace him, and his inclination was to avoid being a "kingmaker," Axelrod said, "I know he's talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them."
